2022 Cannes Yachting Festival

The largest in-water boating festival in Europe comes to Cannes from 6 - 11 Sept, when the entire bay of Cannes will be devoted to all things boating!

Filling the entire harbour and the swanky new Port Canto in Cannes, The Cannes Yachting Festival is Europe’s largest in-water show, featuring boats of all sizes and types, from 10m to 45m afloat and under 10m on land. From classic sailboats, to yachts of all sizes, to Catamarans, and even carbon-neutral concept boats, you can visit one of the biggest arrays of water vehicles from the biggest names in the nautical industry.

Split between both harbours, the free water taxi is the best and most fun way to get across the bay, especially beautiful in the evening when you can enjoy the view of the Croisette lit up by the palace hotels.

The Vieux Port

Cannes' Vieux Port, one of the oldest on the Côte d’Azur, plays host each year to the most prestigious boats presented by the world’s leading shipyards. Dedicated exclusively to the motor nautical industry, some 490 boats and yachts from 5 to 45 metres long are on show, of which 80 (less than 10 metres long) will be exhibited on land.

With its air of Italian dolce vita, the Jetée hosts legendary international shipyards, from Riva to Heesen to the new addition, Antonini. These prestigeous builders unveil their latest innovations and compete in luxury and design recognition. Only yachts longer than 22 metres will be exhibited here.

A true technical achievement, the Super Yachts Extension (SYE) comprises three floating barges positioned as an extension to the Jetée. Built for the festival, this seaward extension will feature thirty of the largest motor super yachts over 24 metres exhibited at the Vieux Port.

Port Canto

The newly remodelled 'new' port is home to a vast exposition of Catamarans. This is also where the new Innovation section is, showcasing some of the most cutting-edge developments in carbon reduction and environmental stewardship. Don't miss the 'Nocturne' evening when the festival stays open late and the entire jetty is an open party!

Luxury goods

Last year, the CYF featured an extensive new section devoted to the luxury goods, the kinds of decor, toys and design that you’ll find aboard the finest yachts, including shipyards, architects and designers, internal layouts, ready-to-wear, accessories, tourism institutions and marinas, service companies (financing, banks, insurance) and more. These purveyors can be found inside the Palais des Festivals.

The Luxury Gallery, located in the heart of the Palais, is dedicated to luxury, craftsmanship and the art of living. Each year brings together an exclusive selection of famous and exclusive brands presenting their new products and expertise to visitors who appreciate the finer things in life (the bon vivants!). The Tender and Toys areas presents the latest innovations in fun and can be found just outside Palais.

Going Green

Ecology is finally making its way into the yachting world. Last year’s festival featured an area dedicated to innovation and this year they are expanding the eco technology available. The director of the Festival, Sylvie Ernoult, is excited about the new offer and made a statement about this year’s festival:

“Our visitors will enjoy discovering some real gems in-water and on land, boats of all types, equipped with traditional engines or anticipating the future with the first on-board electric, hybrid or hydrogen power systems.
“We are delighted to support our exhibitors in their eco-friendly development by enabling them to showcase their innovations, in particular through our “Green Route” and “Innovation Village. Little by little, the nautical industry is improving its environmental footprint and we too are following suit by developing our own eco-responsible commitments within the framework of the organisation of this exhibition (for example: less paper, better waste management, etc.) ”
