It’s back-to-school time and here on the Riviera, many parents worry about the level of English instruction in local schools. The French Riviera has a few high-quality bilingual options, but some families want the extra opportunities, connections, and prestige that world-renowned boarding schools can offer. Also, for parents who are constantly travelling, boarding school in the UK can be the perfect solution.
Few places in the world offer such a concentration of families working internationally than in Monaco and for that reason, the British Boarding Schools Show (BBSS) is being held this month at the Yacht Club de Monaco.
The Show is a unique opportunity for parents in Monte Carlo and the South of France to meet the Heads and Admissions Directors of Britain’s most prestigious boarding schools. Top UK schools as well as experts in education, property and relocation will be offering parents the opportunity to plan every aspect of their child’s entry into the world’s most prestigious schools.
Despite the UK’s recent withdrawal from the EU, worldwide interest in British boarding schools continues to grow. There are currently 69,979 boarders in UK schools; 41% are from overseas families. The benefits of boarding at a leading British school are undisputed and importantly recognised by both university admissions teams and employers.
The British Boarding School Show
For the Monaco market the BBSS has carefully refined the list of attending schools to ensure parents are put in front of the very best of British private education. The alumni include business leaders, politicians, academics and athletes. These schools produce high-achieving, well-informed and confident alumni, who go on to top UK and US universities.
Top educational consultants will be available throughout the show, offering advice and guidance on finding the very best education for your child. Leading the team will be William Petty, Director at Bonas MacFarlane, London’s leading educational consultancy firm.
