Tucked away inside the gorgeous new gardens of the Hotel Carlton in Cannes, find a winter wonderland complete with an ice skating rink, chalet kiosks for hot chocolate and mulled wine, fresh cookies, crêpes and their very own embossed Belgian waffles. Open to both hotel guests and visitors, the opportunity to immerse yourself in a world of wonder, right on the sunny banks of the Croisette is truly an unexpected experience!

For its first festive season following its reopening last March, the Carlton Cannes is unveiled its magnificent 120m2 ice rink with a swanky party featuring professional ice skaters, fabulous hors-d'œuvres by the head chef, Laurent Bunel, a group of Gospel singers and, of course, bottomless Champagne! It was a highly-selective guest list and Bon Vivant Mag was honoured to be among the invitees, giving our readers the first sneak-peak on our Instagram stories.

The very first skating rink within a Côte d'Azur hotel, the Carlton Cannes invites everyone to enjoy the pleasure of skating for 20-minute sessions, while enjoying hot beverages and delicious treats from the white "Christmas Market" style wooden chalets. Enjoy your cup under a warm blanket while the kids skate to their hearts content. The skate rental chalet offers adult to child sizes as well as chariots for the littlest ones. If you still have a few gifts to get, they even have a Chalet Cadeaux for finding the perfect gift for under the tree.

Inside the famed hotel, there is just as much festive decor with the illuminations adorning the monumental fir trees signed by the Carlton Cannes' famous Floral Designer, Djordje Varda, who undoubtedly adds a touch of wonder to their magical universe.
