The 2023 Monaco E-Prix

The 6th edition of the Monaco E-Prix will launch the long-awaited motorsport season in Monaco on the legendary circuit through the heart of the principality.

The E-Prix competition is specifically for electric cars, and it continues to demonstrate how this forward-looking discipline is paving the way from the very heart of Monte-Carlo. It has become an essential destination for all fans of next-generation motorsports. The Formula-E championship is an automobile competition, organised by the FIA, featuring high-tech, 100% electric race cars. The first E Grand Prix took place in Beijing in September 2014.

On Saturday, May 6th, 2023, the 6th edition of the Monaco E-Prix will be the 9th round of the ABB FIA Formula-E World Championship and follow the famed F-1 circuit that winds through Monaco. The event is open to the public with a single ticket price of €30 for grandstand entry. Tickets for children under 16 accompanied by an adult are completely free. You can book your tickets in the local Ticketing Office (44, rue Grimaldi – Monaco) or online. Don’t miss the free practice sessions before the race, then qualifying, race day, and on-track demonstrations. The 2023 Monaco E-Prix will take place over a full day and spectators can experience non-stop action both on and off the track with activities and the world of Formula-E at the Allianz Fan Village.

Since 2021, electric cars have been racing on the full Monaco F-1 circuit, made possible by the technical progress pushing the limits of electric vehicle technology. For a discipline created less than 10 years ago, the advancements have been impressive. For this new season, a new car will make its appearance. Lighter and faster than its predecessor, the third generation (Gen3) of Formula-E cars will be able to reach a top speed of 320 km/h and will make quite a sensation on the streets of the Principality.
